Team Duhon vs. Team PJ Tucker 7/7/09 8PM

Game three arguably provided the most entertaining and intense game of the night. Team P.J. Tucker’s game was marked by show-stopping theatrics, which included a tough block by C.J. Williams in the first quarter and a forceful dunk by Jarrett Johnson, making his presence known. Lead scorer Tyree Graham carried the team with frequent three-pointers, for a total of 19 points at the end of the game. Despite only a one point lead at half-time, Team Duhon pulled away in the second half. It was a block by Hayward Fain, followed by a dunk from Mason Plumlee that tied and changed the rhythm of the game. A partnership with Jon Schyer and Plumlee allowed for points outside the perimeter and under the rim. A huge dunk by Anthony Greenup awed the crowd, but it was a whopping 23 points from J.J. Miller that allowed team Duhon to pull away with a 76-69 win.

How in God's name can Hayward Fain be in CIAA ball??????

Fain is every bit as good as any of the big time players! Somebody call Dick Vitale BABEEE! Fain is a P-T-P-ER (Prime Time Player)!

On 7/7, Team Duhon isolated the brother with seconds left in the game, and he delivered with a 3-point swish! After Fain gave a head fake, the defender staggered back like he was drunk. Looked like Brian Russell trying to guard MJ.

Fain needs a nickname. I call Fain "Baby 'Bron" (I would add the "Le" but Fain is 4 inches shorter than LBJ.

Somebody tell coach K about this kid! How did he slip past the so-called big time schools? Imagine Fain on the Celtics team, replacing the worthless Tony Allen? Think about it!

Peace My Children. . .

Now that I think about it, out of respect to the brother's advanced operations on the basketball court, I'm gonna start referring to Hayward Fain simply as "Doc".

You say CIAA ball like, ..there were NEVER any real talent to come out of the CIAA. You'll find some of your best players in these all black schools vs. your top programs where the athletes have been spoiled and pampered all their lives..in the CIAA you got a bunch of hungry BROTHAS..trying to make it!! And trust..Dickie V already know about the CIAA it was just 8 yrs ago when he said.."the best player in NC aint even Jason Williams....its FLIP MURRAY"
